Wind blades arrive at Cork Institute of Technology for pedestrian bridge construction

Wind turbine blades for a pedestrian bridge to be constructed on a greenway in County Cork, Ireland have arrived at Cork Institute of Technology (CIT). Kieran Ruane, Lecturer and Chartered Civil and Structural Engineer at CIT, is leading a team of researchers and engineers who are designing and constructing the novel bridge built with decommissioned wind blades. Ruane is supported by Re-Wind team members at University College Cork, Georgia Tech and Queens University Belfast. The wind blades were donated by Everun in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
