PhD candidate Mehmet Sinan Bermek presented at the 29th European Group for Intelligent Computing in Engineering (EG-ICE) Workshop in Aarhus, Denmark

On July 6, 2022 Mehmet Sinan Bermek (PhD Candidate in Architecture at Georgia Tech) presented the at the 29th European Group for Intelligent Computing in Engineering (EG-ICE) Workshop in Aarhus, Denmark. EG-ICE promotes research and applications of advanced informatics to all aspects of engineering.

Mehmet’s paper, titled “Reconstruction of Wind Turbine Blade Geometry and Shape Matching of Airfoil Profiles to Point Clouds” focuses on the geometric underpinnings of feature extraction and automation of early phases of the BladeMachine software. Algorithms for error correction of occluded or noisy point clouds are also presented.
