World Economic Forum showcases Re-Wind's BladeBridges
The World Economic Forum has released a video on wind turbine blade end-of-life, describing the challenge of handling decommissioned wind turbine blades, and pointing towards repurposing as a solution.
Re-Wind’s BladeBridges in Draperstown, Northern Ireland and Midleton, Republic of Ireland were featured in the short film, as well as some more repurposing concepts from Re-Wind and others including Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy and Port of Aalborg. The video is released ahead of the Forum’s annual Global Future Councils meeting.
Georgia Tech, Re-Wind network members, are developing the network’s third BladeBridge in Atlanta, USA.
