Irish national broadcaster RTÉ’s new climate change documentary “Heated” covered the issue of repurposing decommissioned wind turbine blades in Episode 2.
The segment featured interviews with BladeBridge’s Angie Nagle, Kieran Ruane and Paul Leahy, as well as spectacular location shots of the blade bridge near Midleton, Co. Cork.
Simon Dennehy of Re-Wind’s design partner Perch explained the challenges and the aesthetics of working with decommissioned fibre-reinforced polymer blade material and showed off some of Perch’s innovative blade-based outdoor furniture designs.
